From the Islands L.L.C. was established in 2003. The owner Max has experience in the import business for over 15 years.

  His background in Cultural Anthropology brought Max, who is originally from Austria, to Indonesia where he has been living for the last 26 years. He continously sources fine handcrafted products all over Indonesia, building good relationships with craftmen, artists and other suppliers. From there all different kind of unique products are shipped to Sedona, Arizona where he now lives eight months out of the year.
     



All of the products listed on this website are handmade by craftsmen in Indonesia. Because all products are handmade, no two pieces are ever alike.
